Privacy Policy

The short version

Your cookbook lives on your device. An account exists so it can also live on your other devices. Nothing here is sold, and there is no advertising or tracking.

What is stored

• On your device: your recipes, weekly plan, shopping ticks, video clips and your look-and-feel settings.
• In your account, if you make one: your email address, your name if you give one, and a copy of the recipes, plan and shopping list so another device can pick them up.
• Never stored by us: your password. Sign-in is handled by Supabase; with Google or Facebook we only receive your name, email and profile picture.

What leaves your device

When you paste a video link, that link is sent to our server, which fetches the video's public description and asks an AI provider to turn it into a recipe. The link and the description are what is sent — nothing else about you. Video covers are fetched through our server so they keep working after the original link expires.

Who else is involved

Supabase stores the account data. OpenAI, Anthropic or Google process the caption text to produce the recipe. Vercel hosts the app. Each one sees only what the paragraph above describes.

Your choices

You can use the whole app without an account. You can sign out, which removes the account's data from the device. You can delete your account here, which erases the recipes, plan and shopping list stored for it. To ask what is held for you, or to have it removed, write to privacy@shecooked.app.

Children

SheCooked App is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.
